Explosions reported in some townships of Yangon, one killed and some injured

Explosions broke out in some townships of Yangon such as Ahlone, Botataung, Dawbon, and Tamwe on the evening of December 15 in which one was killed and some were injured, according to those living in these townships.

In Ahlone Township, explosion hit a hotel under construction in lower Kyimyinedine Street around 7:00 pm. Due to the explosion, one was killed and some were injured according to people living in the township.

According to NOM news agency, some hotel staff were injured and while sending them to hospital, one was died due to the injuries.

Another explosion took place in front of Botataung Township court around 7:00 pm at the garbage bin at the roadside. Two municipal workers were injured according to sources.

Similarly, another explosion hit some roadside in Kyisu ward, Dawbon Township around 6:30 pm in which two passers-by were injured.

“We heard a loud explosion and saw some ambulances,” said a man living in Dawbon Township.

In Tamwe Township, two explosions took place on the evening of December 15 and some were injured.

A cloth seller was injured when an explosion hit Kyaikkasan Road, Tamwe Tonwhip around 7:00 pm and a trishaw driver was injured when an explosion occurred near Shin Parku hospital in Tamwe Township around 8:30 pm according to NOM news agency.

Two explosions broke out in Thingangyun Gyi ward and Shwe Nanthar village tract in Mingalardon Township on the same day that evening and three men supposed to bring hand-made bomb were seriously injured according to NOM news agency.

Another explosion rocked at Bo yan Pyae ward in Dala Township around 7:00 om according to living in the township.

On the morning of December 16, an explosion occurred at east Dagon Myothit Township and two men riding a bicycle were injured according to sources.

A home-made bomb was found near railway road at east Tharhta ward, Kyimyindine Township around 11:30 pm on December 15. Likewise, another hand-made bomb was found near workers’ Hospital in Htantabin Township around 9:30 am on December 16. Security forces thwarted detonation of these bombs by destroying them beforehand.
