Daw Sanda Thwe was approved and appointed as the Chief Justice of the Yangon Region High Court by the Yangon Region Hluttaw (Parliament) during its session held today (April 7).

The appointment was proposed to the Yangon Region Hluttaw by the President-elect, who nominated Daw Sanda Thwe for the position of Chief Justice of the Yangon Region High Court.

Regarding the matter, the Speaker of the Yangon Region Hluttaw stated that anyone wishing to object could submit their objection, along with valid evidence, to the Deputy Director General of the Hluttaw.

After the parliamentary session was temporarily adjourned and later resumed, no objections were raised. Consequently, the Speaker officially announced the appointment of Daw Sanda Thwe as the Chief Justice of the Yangon Region High Court.
