Beijing has suspended the review of requests by US military ships and aircraft to visit the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in response to a Hong Kong-related legislation passed by the US lawmakers, said Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying.
China has condemned the passage of the bill, saying it was blatant interference into China's internal affairs by Washington DC.
During a regular press briefing on Monday, Hua also said that a number of US-based non-governmental organizations, including the National Endowment for Democracy and Human Rights Watch, will be subjected to sanctions from China due to their role in the disturbances in Hong Kong.
