Myawaddy TV channel announced on March 7 at 9:00 news that chair of Free Funeral Service Society Kyaw Thu and wife Shwe Zee Kwat aka Myint Myint Khin Phe were charged with Section 505(a) for encouraging participating in Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) by Mayangone Police Station.
Security forces raided the free funeral service society (Yangon) office on March 3 but they were not able to arrest Myint Myint Khin Phe there and seized documents found there. There, security forces found the couple received about Ks.6 billion and US$ 20,670 from February 10 to March 3 from 498 donors. They also found 6 fixed deposit bank accounts with Ks.20 billion. From those donations, they provided assistance to 2008 staff participating in the CDM campaign.
