The authorities sealed off the building that was used as the office of the National League for Democracy (NLD) Party in Thanbyuzayat Township was temporarily sealed off on the morning of July 5, sources said.

The building located in the courtyard of the house owned by Daw Myint Myint Khaing, which was leased and opened as the NLD party office located in front of the township administrative office in Thanbyuzayat Township, was temporarily sealed off by the relevant authorities at about 11:00 am on July 5.

"The house is not locked. Only the building where the NLD party township office was opened was sealed off," said a Thanbyuzayat resident.

According to people close to the security police, the building that was used as the office of the NLD Party in Thanbyuzayat Township was temporarily sealed off because it was rented by Daw Myat Thida Tun, a former member of Thanbyuzayat Township's National Assembly, who has been prosecuted under the Anti-Terrorism Act.

On July 21, 2022, a house in Aungthayar Ward, a house in the Kyantkhineyay Ward and a house in Kyonekadat village in Thanbyuzayat Township, Mon State were sealed off by the relevant authorities, claiming to be related to terrorist organizations.

Similarly, on June 20, the home of Daw Khin Myo Myint, a member of parliament from the NLD Party of Kyaikmaraw Township, was also sealed off by the relevant authorities, claiming that she was connected to terrorist organizations.
