The authorities have opened a new immigration office in Lashio to serve residents from Hsenwi and Kunlong townships since May 27. The office provides a range of services, including the issuance of national registration cards, replacement of lost or damaged cards, household registration, and birth registration.

The Ministry of Immigration and Population has opened Hsenwi and Kunlong township offices at the Lashio District Headquarters and is providing services.

After issuing the NRC cards at Hsenwi Township and Kunlong Township offices, the issue of UID (smart card) will have to be done at the Lashio Township office.

The NRC cards and other immigration procedures for residents of Lashio Township, Shan State (Northern) have been processing since May 19.
