Aung La “The Burmese Python” N Sang will fight ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon “The Truth” Vera to defend light heavyweight world champion during October this year.

The biggest news to come after the rematch with Japanese MMA fighter Ken Hasegawa was the confirmation of his first ONE Light Heavyweight World Title defense.

The Myanmar hero knocked out his Japanese adversary in the second round to cap a dominant performance at ONE: A NEW ERA in Tokyo, Japan on Sunday, 31 March.

Following the win, ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon “The Truth” Vera entered the cage to challenge “The Burmese Python” for his other piece of gold.

The Myanmar hero gracefully accepted, and ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong gave the World Champion versus World Champion super-bout his blessing.

If both men get their wish, that clash will take place back in Tokyo at ONE: GREATNESS UNLEASHED this October.

Aung La N Sang became the light heavyweight world champion after winning Brazilian MMA fighter Machado during February in 2018. He will fight Verda for the first time to defend light heavyweight champion. Organizers planned the light heavyweight world champion last year but it did not come true because Verda was full of activities.

Aung La N Sang will fight at least next two new matches during this year to defend middleweight world champion and light heavyweight world champion.
