Advance voting is being carried out in Ngathaingchaung Township and Dedaye Township of the Ayeyarwady Region, which are included in Phase (3) of the election, according to reports.
In Ngathaingchaung Town, Kyonpyaw District, Ayeyarwady Region, advance voting is being conducted from January 15 to 24 for education staff, departmental civil servants, security personnel, and those who will be traveling on official duty during the election. Eligible voters are casting their advance ballots at the respective ward and village sub-commission offices in accordance with election laws, bylaws, and official guidelines.
Similarly, in Dedaye Town, Phyapon District, where Phase (3) of the 2025 multi-party democratic general election is scheduled to be held on January 25, advance voting for teachers and departmental staff who will be serving at polling stations began on January 15. Advance ballots are being cast according to their respective wards.
In addition, polling station officials, security forces, departmental staff who will be on duty on election day, and voters who need to travel outside their constituencies for health reasons are also allowed to cast advance votes in line with instructions from the Union Election Commission. For voters who fall under Section 45(b) of the relevant parliamentary election laws, advance voting will be arranged on January 23 and 24.
