A group of masked men broke into a house in front of Central Women Hospital in Ahlon Township around 7 pm of November 12 and escaped with the house owner, according to Yangon Region police force.

The masked men entered in the compound with a light truck and they beat the workers and the owner. And then they took the house owner as a hostage and escaped.

“There may be ten masked men involved in the robbery and they beat the house owner and his workers. They took him with his car. They crashed open the main gate with their truck. And then they left the house owner and his car in front of the Novotel Hotel. Two of the masked men left behind in the compound and we caught them. Now we are interrogating them,” said a closed person of western district police force.

“After the masked men left the compound, the workers run out from the house and asked help. Some masked men left behind run by climbing the fence. Two of them inside the house are seized by people,” said a person lived nearby.

Although the masked men kidnapped the house owner, they didn’t take anything from the house. The house owner is running beans and engine oil businesses.

“They moved in here only a short time ago,” he said.

There are only a few passers-by when the kidnap happened. The house is located in front of the Central Women Hospital.

Two masked men are Thura and Soe Kyaw Kyaw Lwin from East Dagon Township and they are being interrogated at district police force.
