
A building under construction in Bangkok, Thailand, collapsed due to the earthquake on March 28, leaving 83 people missing, including 24 Myanmar workers, according to a statement from Thailand’s Ministry of Labour.
The Thai Labour Ministry reported on April 1 that the collapsed building, which was under construction as an auditor general’s office, employed not only Thai nationals but also foreign workers from Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos.
Thai Labour Minister Phiphat Ratchakana stated that they had received the collapse incident report and confirmed that, as of April 1, 83 people remain missing.
Rescue operations were still underway as of March 30.
