A 70-year-old man was abducted by members of the People’s Defence Force (PDF) in Ngazun Township, according to a press release from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The victim, U Sein Tun, a resident of Myotha East Village in Mandalay Region, was driving a HIJET car from his village to Ngazun town when he was stopped and kidnapped by PDF members. The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. on June 20 along the Myotha–Ngazun road, between Netsein and Ywatha villages.
Authorities have stated that security forces are taking appropriate action in accordance with security procedures to rescue the abducted individual.
