Yangon Elevated Expressway Project put out to tender

The Ministry of Construction is inviting tender bidders for the construction of Yangon Elevated Expressway to implement the project 1 of PPP Advisory Services Agreement for Yangon Elevated Expressway.
The tender invitation has begun on September 7. The Ministry of Construction discussed the plan of constructing Yangon Elevated Expressway with Yangon regional government. According to Public Private Partnership (PPP) Concession Agreement, the first phase of the 27km-long elevated expressway will start. The ministry is inviting interested tender bidders for the related services of the project. The related services include design, engineering, finance, construction, operation and maintenance. 
 Yangon Elevated Expressway is expected to have gained easy access to Yangon downtown, Yangon International Airport, Mindalardon Industrial Zone and Yangon-Mandalay highways. For the aims to meet success, the Ministry of Construction has prepared Request For Qualification (RFQ) and Preliminary Information Memorandum (PIM).
Interested persons from home and abroad will pay for RRQ fee and then RFQ and PIM documents must be sent to the e-mail address of YIFC. Applications must be submitted not later than October 30.  The interested businesspersons from home and abroad can participate in line with the norms of RFQ. 
Only tender winners will be allowed to submit project proposals for the next stage. The facts contained in RFQ can be amended at any time. Applications can be denied, said the Ministry of Construction.
