It is reported that the La Min Project is being implemented nationwide to assist eligible citizens who have not yet received their National Registration Cards (NRCs) for various reasons.
The Ministry of Immigration and Population, U Myint Kyaing, along with Deputy Minister U Lin Zaw Htun, visited the hall of Basic Education High School No. (3) in Pyinmana Township, Union Territory, on July 8, where township health workers were conducting blood type tests on students, members of the township-level five-member committee were conducting functional tests, and staff were observing the steps of the NRC’s issuance process and collecting UID cards from those who already have NRCs through the e-ID system.
It is reported that NRCs and UID cards processed under the La Min Project through a same-day One Stop Service were subsequently presented individually to the respective student recipients. Food and refreshments were also provided to township office staff.
The Ministry is providing assistance to those who have reached the age of 18 and have not received NRCs for various reasons, and to those who have lost or damaged their identity cards, at the relevant township offices, The La Min Project is being implemented nationwide by visiting relevant schools and providing assistance to students who have reached the age of 10 and have not yet received their NRCs.
