Tedim - Residents of several villages in Tedim Township, Chin State, have been issued National Registration Cards (NRCs) and enrolled for Unique Identification (UID) numbers under the government's La Min Project, officials said.
Deputy Minister for Construction U Myo Myint visited Shaung Saung Model Village on June 29 to observe the implementation of the program, which is being carried out by the Ministry of Immigration and Population as part of the government's 100-day action plan. During the visit, authorities issued 214 National Registration Cards and conducted UID registration for local residents.
The deputy minister, accompanied by members of the Chin State Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee and departmental officials, also inspected municipal markets and basic education schools in Tedim Township.
The delegation visited Tedim Municipal Market (Myoma Market) and the municipal market in Sakaw Ward, where they observed shops that had resumed normal business operations and met with local officials.
The delegation later visited the Basic Education Post-Primary School in Shaung Saung Model Village. During a meeting with the school headmaster and teachers, officials were informed that the school currently has one headmaster, seven teachers, and 94 students. The headmaster briefed the delegation on the school's current teaching situation, after which the deputy minister coordinated with relevant officials to address the school's immediate needs.
