All banks will be closed on February 16 in observance of a public holiday and will resume operations on February 21, the substitute business day, according to the Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM).

Under the Negotiable Instruments Act, February 14 and 15 are designated public holidays. As February 16 falls between these public holidays and February 17 (Chinese New Year), it has also been declared a public holiday, resulting in the closure of all banks. All banks will reopen on February 21 as a substitute business day.
