Yangon — A New Year’s Eve fireworks display was held at Yangon People’s Square as part of the 2026 Yangon Countdown celebration on December 31, beginning at 6:00 pm.
The event featured performances by well-known national singers, artists, DJs, and emerging vocalists, entertaining large crowds who gathered to welcome the New Year. The celebration culminated in a vibrant fireworks to mark the arrival of 2026.
Organizers also announced that the 2026 Yangon Countdown Festival and Independence Day Commemorative Fair will run from December 31 to January 4, 2026, offering food stalls and various activities for the public.
