Four injured in train–car collision in Mandalay

Four people were injured in a collision between a train and a car in Mandalay, according to the Myanmar Rescue Organization (Mandalay Region Office).

The incident occurred at around 6 p.m. on August 11 at a railway crossing in Nantha Ward, Pyigyidagun Township, Mandalay. A train struck a private car at the crossing.

An adult male and three females sustained non-life-threatening injuries and received first aid treatment, according to the organization.

Rescue personnel also used a crane to move the damaged vehicle, which had been left on the tracks, to a safe location away from both the railway and the road.
