House fire in Mon State village leaves one man dead

In Mon State, Thanbyuzayat Township, in the village of Taung Hpalu, a house fire occurred, resulting in the death of one man, according to social relief and rescue organizations.

The fire broke out around 3:30 AM on May 14 in Taung Hpalu village, Thanbyuzayat Township.

Firefighters from the Thanbyuzayat Township Fire Station and the Kyonkadat Regional Fire Station, along with rescue teams and local residents, worked together to extinguish the flames. The fire was brought under control by around 3:40 AM, as stated by an official from a rescue organization.

The official further added, "After the fire was put out, during the clearing operations, a middle-aged man was found dead with burn injuries in the house."

The body of the deceased man, who suffered fatal burn injuries, was transported to the mortuary of Thanbyuzayat Township People’s Hospital by the Sedanashin Social Relief and Rescue Association (Thanbyuzayat). Authorities are currently conducting investigations into the cause of the fire.
