The railroad section between Minsu Station and Kyaukse Station on the Yangon-Mandalay railway was destroyed by a mine attack, announced the information team of the State Administration Council (SAC).

Due to the destruction of mines by the PDFs near Bridge No. 736 between milepost No. 353/3 and 4 between Minsu Station and Kyaukse Station in Kyaukse Township, Mandalay Region, the concrete slip blocks on the approach of the bridge were damaged and the tracks between Minsu and Kyaukse stations were temporarily closed due to the displacement of the tracks. The No. 5 Up Yangon-Mandalay passenger express train had to stop at Myitta Station at 7:20 am on December 19.
