A fire broke out at a fuel shop owned by U Thet Oo Maung on the front side of Nandawon Market in Kawthoung, Kawthoung District on December 12, and the firefighters, locals and officials had to extinguish the fire.

The fire broke out in the afternoon, and the shop and three houses were damaged. There are three houses, including my house, located west of the shop selling fuel. Furniture, windows, important documents were damaged due to heat. It's not like the whole house is damaged,'' said U Aung Za Oo, the owner of the house.

In connection with the incident, the owner of the fuel store, U Thet Oo Maung, has been charged under Section 285 of the Penal Code at the Kawthoung Township police station.
