Myanmar workers injured in explosion of cooking gas filling factory

Five Myanmar workers were injured in a blast occurred at a cooking gas tank filling factory near Bangkok in Thailand, according to LPN Myanmar which helps in supporting the aids to Myanmar workers.

An explosion took place at a cooking gas tank filling factory in Bang Sao Thong district, Samut Prakan province in Bangkok of Thailand, yesterday night.

There are 31 Myanmar workers at the factory which was opened over 10 years.

One of workers said that a huge fire at the gas tank filling factory last midnight. Strong smell of gas appeared and they heard a loud voice of explosion. The glasses of windows were blown up so also fire scattered from the explosion. The workers escaped from the explosion. However, five Myanmar workers at the factory were injured.

The firefighters tried to extinguish the flames about 30 minutes. One out of 5 injured Myanmar workers got serious injuries. LPN Myanmar announced that two vehicles and a motorbike were destroyed but there was no casualty.
