U Khant Naing, businessman and husband of actress Khine Thin Kyi has been detained at his house at (30) ward, Thuwanna Hninsi Road in Thingangyun Township at 11:00 pm on April 27.

His daughter San Htaik Htar Oo made a live streaming from the facebook saying, “Policemen arrived at our house saying they came to check household list. May be they’re going to take my father. A lot of armed-policemen arrived at our house.”

During the live-streaming, his father told her that the policemen came to check household list and then he was detained.

On April 17, State Administration Council (SAC) announced the cancellation of social outstanding award (2nd Grade) to actress Khine Thin Kyi through state-owned newspapers. Later, her husband has been detained. 

Recently, comedian Kaung Kyaw was also detained at his house in Thaketa Township.
