About 200 people were arrested when police raided Brave Bar on Kan Yeik Thar Road, 10th Ward, Mayangone Township, Yangon Region at around 11:45 pm on October 7, according to a police officer from Yangon Region police force.

It is learned that about 200 men and women were taken action under Section 188 of the Penal Code.

A police officer from the Yangon Region police force said, "In the night, the regional and district police forces raided and arrested more than 100 people. It is not yet known whether they will be prosecuted under the curfew order or violations of COVID-19 rules and regulation. It is up to the court."

The messages, threatening the Brave Bar not to open, have been circulating on its Facebook page as the bar crowded with people opened till late at night.
