TNP wins majority of votes in Nanhkan

Ta’ang National Party (TNP) won majority vote in Nanhkan Township, Muse district in northern Shan State surpassing Shan Nationalities League for Democracy (SNLD) and Shan Nationalities Democratic Party (SNDP), according to the polling monitor report by political parties.

Aike Mon from the TNP won 24,973 votes for Amyothar Hluttaw and Tun Kyaw from the TNP won 25,557 votes for Pyithu Hluttaw. Aye Maung from the TNP received 13,280 votes to win at No.1 Nanhkan Constituency and Aie Saw Sein won 12,359 votes at No.2 Nanhkan Constituency.

The SNLD, SNDP, Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP), National League for Democracy (NLD), Union Betterment Party (UBP), Kachin National Party (KNP) and TNP competed in the 2020 general election, according to the report.

The Nanhkan Township election sub-commission is now scrutinizing the final voting results to announce the winner party, according to Muse District election sub-commission.
