The Ministry of Health and Sports issued a statement on 23 February, calling for the general public to avoid public gatherings, festivals and events as the spreading of Covid-19 is accelerating.

Currently, the infection rate of Covid-19 continues to rise. Among those infected were those who were not in close contact with the already-infected or those with no travel history to the virus-stricken regions and countries, are reported in some countries, the statement says. 

The Covid-19 may transmit one infected person to another though the infected show no symptom. Multiple cases may be detected simultaneously despite the fact that there are no reports of confirmed cases yet. The Covid-19 is likely to spread among the public, the ministry warns.

The ministry also urged the public to avoid going to the crowds, festivals and events. The ministry also suggests that holding necessary festivals and events needs to abide by the ministry’s health instructions without fail.
