President U Min Aung Hlaing, who is on an official visit to Moscow, Russia, laid a wreath and paid tribute at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow on the morning of August 18, local time.
The President is visiting the Russian Federation at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Upon arriving at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, President U Min Aung Hlaing and members of his delegation were welcomed by Russian government officials and the military commander of Moscow.
Two soldiers then led the procession carrying the wreath. President U Min Aung Hlaing laid the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and observed a one-minute silence in honor of the fallen heroes.
Following the wreath-laying ceremony, the Russian Federation’s honor guard band played the national anthem of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
The President then received a ceremonial salute from the honor guard and greeted the officials present.
During the farewell, the Russian Federation’s honor guard band also performed military songs of the Myanmar Armed Forces in honor of the President.
