A 22-year-old Chinland FC footballer has been missing for around five days, with the club saying it has been unable to contact him since Saturday.
Chinland FC announced on August 27 that Pa Lung, a native of Matupi Township and the club’s No. 5 player, had gone missing. The team is set to compete in the upcoming Myanmar League 1 season.
According to the club, Pa Lung was last known to have watched a futsal match on Saturday before taking a bus home. He got off at the 7/8 junction and was in contact with others while arranging to take a taxi back to his accommodation. However, communication with him was lost after that point.
“We are still searching for him. The matches will resume tomorrow,” a Chinland FC official told Eleven Media.
The club said it has been making every effort to locate Pa Lung for approximately five days. It is also working with officials from the Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) and the Myanmar National League (MNL) to take all necessary measures to find him.
However, there has been no contact with the player and his whereabouts remain unknown.
