The Alternate Leader of Myanmar Delegation to the 74th UNGA and Union Minister for International Cooperation U Kyaw Tin attended Informal ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting-IAMM, the 6th ASEAN-Pacific Alliance Ministerial Meeting and ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting with the United Nations Secretary-General and the President of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly-AUMM on September 28, reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on September 29.
Union Minister Kyaw Tin attended Informal ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting-IAMM at the UN Headquarters in New York at 12.30 pm on September 28, discussing mutual benefits in ASEAN Community 2025, and UN sustainable development 2030, participation of the countries out of ASEAN region in signing Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (TAC), increased cooperation in ASEAN’s dialogue partners and prepared plans for the upcoming 35th ASEAN Summit and related meetings in November.
Next, Union Minister Kyaw Tin also attended the 6th ASEAN-Pacific Alliance Ministerial Meeting at UN Headquarters in New York on 2 pm on the same day, during which prospects for current cooperation and increased cooperation in the future between ASEAN and Pacific region organization were discussed.
After that Union Minister Kyaw Tin also attended ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting with the United Nations Secretary-General and the President of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly-AUMM.
At the meeting, increased cooperation between ASEAN and the United Nations, mutual benefits in ASEAN Community 2025, and UN sustainable development 2030, sustainable peace, natural disaster preparedness management, climate change and sustainable development were also discussed.
