Union Minister Wunna Maung Lwin to pay goodwill visit to China

Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin will pay a goodwill visit to the Peoples Republic of China at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, said Major General Zaw Min Tun, spokesperson of the State Administration Council and deputy information minister.  

The invitation from the Chinese foreign affairs minister has arrived. Some foreign ministers from the ASEAM countries were also invited. Its a goodwill visit. So, he will go there soon, said the major general.

As special envoy of SAC Chairman and Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Wunna Maung Lwin also paid a working visit to Cambodia on December 6 and 7 in 2021 at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia Prak Sokhonn.   

On the morning of December 7, the Union minister called on Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen and Prak Sokhonn.  

During the meeting, U Wunna Maung Lwin briefed them on Myanmars foreign policy, latest developments and the political, economic and social objectives adopted by the SAC.

The Union minister and his delegation arrived back in Nay Pyi Taw on December 7, the Ministry Foreign Affairs reported.
