Union Enterprise for Humanitarian Assistance Resettlement and Development in Rakhine (UEHRD) issued a statement, saying that the UEHRD categorically deny the allegations made at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in the Hague regarding the confiscation of land. Such an action has never been taken by the UEHRD. The land used for constructing the reception and transit centers were provided by the Rakhine State Government.

At the court hearings at The Hague in the Netherlands on December 10, the lawyer representing Gambia made an accusation that: “The Union Enterprise for Humanitarian Assistance in Rakhine State (UEHRD) is one of the State organs linked to the genocide. It has been responsible for large-scale confiscation of Bengali land.”
