UBP plans to compete in 2020 elections in more than 220 townships across the country

The Union Betterment Party has planned to compete in the 2020 general elections in more than 220 townships across the country, said Thura U Shwe Mann, the leader of the UBP.

The remarks came from the reply of  Thura U Shwe Mann to the questions of the journalists after his meeting with party members in Mandalay Region on September 20.

"We met with the party member and then discussed with them to serve the interest of the Union and enhance the spirit of the party members and polishing their qualification. We have planned to compete in the 2020 general elections in more than 220 townships across the country," said Thura U Shwe Mann.

The current political situation in the country is very sensitive. We must be careful with everything. Those who love the country are required to show affection for the country.

"We need to be careful about whatever we work or whatever we say. We need to cherish the country. Those who love the country are required to show affection for the country," said Thura U Shwe Mann.

The UBP has opened branch offices in regions and states and is holding meetings with party members. The regions and states the UBP opened its offices are Mandalay, Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Ayeyawady, Taninthayi, Yangon, Shan State (South) and Kayah.

The UBP applied for the party founding  and registered on February 5 in 2019. It got permission of party registration in April. There are more than 200 branch offices in the country and more than 200,000 party members.
