Two foreigners pretended to buy gold and stole a two-tical gold necklace in Mawlamyine, Mon State on August 17.

The incident took place at the Sein Pakhaing Platinum gold and jewelry shop on the fourth floor of Myain Yadanar market in Mawlamyine at 10:25 am on August 17. A person close to the gold shop said that two foreigners came to the shop and pretended to buy gold and stole a two-tical gold chain.

"They said that what was stolen was a gold chain of two tical. They also said that the culprits are pretending to be foreigners. The foreigner took the first gold chain and held it in her hand. Then she took another gold chain and held it. Then she returned the necklace she was holding. She took the first gold chain in her hand," he continued.

In addition to making a complaint to the relevant authorities about the incident, if someone finds the two people who stole the gold chain, they are requested to contact Sein Pakhaing Platinum gold and jewelry shop.
