The Thai government has released an updated list of countries whose citizens can stay in Thailand for up to 60 days without a visa, and Myanmar is not included in this list, the Bangkok Post reported.

The list, which is expected to be signed by the Thai Prime Minister, includes 36 additional countries. Among these countries are Sri Lanka, Laos, Tonga, Uruguay, Panama, Morocco, Ecuador, and Jamaica. Myanmar is notably absent from this list.

Under this program, citizens of the listed countries will be able to stay in Thailand for up to 60 days without a visa. The Thai Prime Minister expressed hope that the program will be implemented smoothly without any issues.

The report also mentions that the Thai Ministry of Interior supports the Prime Minister's plan and has proposed extending the visa exemption program.

"The Immigration Police and security authorities have implemented effective measures, and we believe these actions will be beneficial in the long term," said the Thai Prime Minister.
