A teacher rescued a student who was about to jump from the roof of a private school in Nay Pyi Taw, and both fell to their deaths, according to some residents of Nay Pyi Taw.

The incident took place on the evening of February 1, and a 16-year-old student studying at a private school named Khit Shae Saung went to the roof of the school and was prevented from jumping after others saw her trying to jump. It is known that the student fell from the roof when computer teacher U Kyi Lin Thant tried to pull her to safety.

According to a video that appeared on social media, the student was seen walking on the roof and trying to jump in front of the school. When she was sliding down from the roof, the teacher pulled her and both of them fell down.

It is reported that teacher U Kyi Lin Thant died at about 5:00 pm, and the student died at about 5:20 pm due to a fall from the roof of the school about 50 feet.

The Daily Eleven is still trying to contact the private school about the incident, but have not received any reply so far.
