Selling Japanese language proficiency test application forms for N4 level (Yangon exam center) has stopped as large crowd gathered at the place according to Myanmar Association of Japan Alumni (MAJA) on August 5.

It said application forms will be accepted via online system only and the detailed will be announced later.

For Yangon exam center, we have planned to sell application forms for N4 level on August 5 but at 5:00 am, there were about 5000 people queued to get the application forms. The people there became a huge crowd and it became a difficult situation to sell forms. As a result, we ended selling forms for N4 and respectfully requested cooperation of students for convening of successful exam, according to the statement issued by the committee for holding the exam.

People gathered since 2 a.m. to buy the N4 application forms.

At the social media, a page named Japanese Corner shared a video file of a huge crowd including youths running and queuing to get the forms and it was shared among many social media users.

A man commented at the MAJA facebook page that those people concerned from MAJA said words easily staying under the roof. Since 1:30 am or 2:00 am, about 5,000 or around 10,000 people were waiting to get the forms. Some came here from far away towns. I wish you have little sympathy for others such as “if I were in his place”. For me, I came back knowing that you will end selling forms seeing too many people. Even a big association like MAJA has poor management.

A woman also said that I came back as I was impatient. Rain was pouring heavily and there were too many people.

MAJA has issued a statement on August 4 that as a result of many people desire to buy forms for N4 level, 3000 forms per day will be sold in order to avoid becoming huge crowd.  A person can buy up to two forms and 8000 forms will be sold.
