Chairman of the State Administration Council Senior General Min Aung Hlaing stressed the importance of prosecuting corrupt individuals and recovering misappropriated funds and assets for the public treasury in accordance with the law.

Speaking at the International Anti-Corruption Day event in Nay Pyi Taw on December 9, he emphasized that corruption undermines justice, harms the public, and disrupts law and stability. He called for collective efforts to build a transparent society and prevent corruption at all levels.

The event, attended by senior officials, military leaders, and guests, highlighted the theme "Uniting with Youth against Corruption: Shaping Tomorrow’s Integrity," which aligns with Myanmar's educational initiatives to raise awareness about corruption's negative impacts.

The SAC Chaiman noted that corruption is a global issue affecting governance and economies worldwide. He called for educating youth to reject corrupt practices and fostering a culture of integrity.

Myanmar's anti-corruption laws mandate the recovery of illegally obtained assets, and he urged strict enforcement to ensure accountability and justice.
