As part of his official visit to the Republic of Belarus, Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing toured the Minsk Tractor Works and Slutsk Cheese Factory in Minsk on the morning of June 27.
At Minsk Tractor Works, the Senior General and his delegation were welcomed by Belarusian Minister of Industry Mr. Efimov A.V. and Factory Director-General Mr. Avramenko S.A. During the visit, they observed a range of agricultural vehicles and machinery produced for soil preparation, crop cultivation, disaster response, firefighting, and transportation of agricultural goods. The Senior General engaged with the factory representatives, asking technical questions and showing interest in the production processes.
He also observed the tractor assembly line and later held discussions with the Belarusian Minister of Industry at the factory’s meeting hall. Their talks focused on the production of agricultural machinery by Belarus’s heavy industries, export strategies, and potential technological cooperation with Myanmar to enhance mechanized farming and local manufacturing capabilities.
Before concluding the visit, the Senior General exchanged commemorative gifts with the Minister and Director-General and toured the factory’s product exhibition booth.
Established in 1946, Minsk Tractor Works employs over 15,000 workers and is a key producer of agricultural tractors in Belarus. Its tractors are exported widely, including to Western Europe and ASEAN countries.
