The Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) and Prime Minister of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, has returned to Myanmar after completing state-level goodwill visits to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus. He arrived at the Nay Pyi TAw Military Airport on the evening of March 9.
Upon arrival at the airport, the SAC Chairman and his delegation were welcomed by Vice Chairman of the SAC Vice Senior General Soe Win, the Secretary and members of the SAC, Union Ministers, senior military officials from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, the Commander of the Nay Pyi Taw Command, representatives from the Russian Embassy in Myanmar, artists, students, and local residents.
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing had undertaken state-level goodwill visits to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus from March 3 to March 9.
During his visit to the Russian Federation, the SAC Chairman met with the President, Prime Minister, Defense Minister, Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Chairman of the State Duma, Chairman of the Federation Council, Head of the Saint Petersburg Government, Director-General of the State Space Corporation ROSCOSMOS, and the Head of the Novosibirsk Regional Government. He also attended the Myanmar-Russia Economic Forum and led state-level bilateral talks with the Russian President.
During the visit, ten agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed between the two governments, including a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy and nuclear and radiation safety regulations.
Following his visit to Russia, the SAC Chairman traveled to Belarus from March 6 to March 8 for a state-level goodwill visit. During his stay in Belarus, he held separate meetings with the President, Prime Minister, Chairman of the Council of the Republic, and Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus. He also attended the Myanmar-Belarus Economic Forum and led state-level bilateral talks with the Belarusian President.
Additionally, during the visit, several agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed between the two governments, covering cooperation in sports, tourism, legal affairs, agriculture, and food safety.
