SAC chairman meets with Indian Foreign Secretary of Ministry of External Affairs

NAYPYITAW-----Chairman of State Administration Council (SAC) Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing yesterday met with Vinay Mohan Kwatra, Foreign Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs of India at the parlour of the SAC Chairman’s office in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, both sides frankly exchanged views on cooperation in security, peace and tranquility at the border region of two countries, further promotion of cooperation, cooperation in defence measures, situations of further enhancement of bilateral relations, trade promotion and increase of investment, implementation of Kaladan Multimodal Project and prospects for direct maritime trade measures, further improvement of the border region, efforts for the rupee/kyat direct payment in the bilateral trade sector, taking State responsibilities by the SAC in accord with the Constitution(2008) due to voting frauds in the 2020 general election, implementation of five-point road map and efforts of Myanmar to improve relations with the international community including neighbouring countries.

Also present at the meeting together with the Senior General were SAC Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo. The Foreign Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs

of India was accompanied by Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Vinay Kumar.
