NAY PYI TAW – Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Deng Xijun, Special Envoy for Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, at the SAC Chairman’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
During the meeting, they engaged in cordial discussions on China’s positive commitment to cooperating in the implementation of Myanmar’s Five-Point Roadmap and the Tatmadaw’s efforts, including preparations for holding an election.
The talks also covered Myanmar-China collaboration in the peace process, the eradication of narcotic drugs, and joint efforts to combat telecom fraud and online gambling. Additionally, they discussed trade measures to enhance cooperation in border regions between the two countries.
Also present at the meeting were SAC Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, Council Member Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, and other officials. The Chinese Special Envoy was accompanied by officials from the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar.
