SAC chair and Russian President meet

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is attending the 7th Eastern Economic Forum-2022, held talks with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin today, Russian media have reported.

A high-level delegation led by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing arrived in Russia on September 4, and he visited Makarov Pacific Higher Naval School in Vladistok, the Pacific Fleet Headquarters and the Commercial Port of Vladistok on September 5. 

On September 6 also, the SAC chairman met the Chief Executive Officer of Rosatom State Corporation owned by Russia, discussed chances for seeking benefits from nuclear energy and oversaw the signing of a memorandum of understanding on future tasks.

On the same day, he met the Russian presidential adviser and discussed plans to unveil new cooperation sectors between the two brotherly countries, arrangements to launch direct flights to enhance the tourism industry and promote the trade sector, and further strengthening of the friendly ties between the governments and the peoples of both countries and multi-sectorial cooperation.

Myanmar has not released any news about the Senior General’s meeting with the Russian President.
