Lower House of Parliament will discuss the proposal calling for drawing and implementing short- and long-term farmer-centered agricultural and livestock breeding projects.

The proposal was submitted by Lower House MP Tin Htwe for Waw Constituency.

"Our country is rich in land, water and labour resources. If they are used effectively, we will see economic progress. By tapping these resources, we have to rely our national economy on agricultural and livestock breeding," the MP said.

Only if farmer-centered agricultural and livestock breeding projects are implemented, the country's export can increase, thereby contributing to national economy, he commented.

The MP pointed out national economic progress seen in the Philippines, Thailand, India, China and Vietnam which have paid attention to agriculture for decades by passing a crop insurance law.
