A prayer service was held at the Nay Pyi Taw territory at 10 am on 2nd  March for those that had died during the crackdown on protesters .

The youth from the region prayed at the compound of an ancient pagoda in the Naypyidaw Union Territory for all those protesters that had died due to the shooting of the security forces.

One participant at the prayer service said, " The purpose of having this prayer service is that we do not at all like the military dictator. This is not needed at all for our new generation. What we want is democracy that is free, just, which guarantees human rights. We will fight for this. Today we are praying for our brothers and sisters that have fallen . We will always honor them. In our hearts we pray that instances like this don't ever occur ".

Just as the youth had the prayer service together on 2nd  March, they said that they would go to another place to write the words,' We Want Democracy ' and ' Save Myanmar '.

One of the participants said, " We will continue writing. They can erase as much as they want. We are not afraid of their weapons. They are afraid of our writings ".
