The person appointed by the State Administration Council to replace the Myanmar UN Permanent Representative U Kyaw Moe Htun, who said he represented the NLD government, announced on 3rd March that he was resigning from office.
In the evening news of VOA it was said that the State Administration Council had sent a letter asking to look into the appointment of the UN deputy permanent representative U Tin Maung Naing to replace U Kyaw Moe Htun.
But the Council appointee U Tin Maung Naing announced on his social website on 3rd March that he had resigned from office.
One who had received the good public servant award and one who had served for over 30 years and had been faithful to the country, decided to give up the job according to circumstances, as disclosed in the web page of U Tin Maung Naing.
As stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the permanent representative at the UN, UKyaw Moe Htun, appointed by the NLD government on 5th Sept. 2020, has been terminated for what he had stated at the UN General ASSEMBLY on 26th February.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on 27th Feb. that it had terminated U Kyaw Moe Htun who had failed to obey the orders and instruction given by the state, and that he had been disloyal to the state, and had misused his office and had sworn loyalty to an illegal organization that does not represent the state.
After terminating U Kyaw Moe Htun from office arrangements were made to replace him with deputy permanent representativeU Tin Maung Naing.
A UN official, who wishes to withhold his name, said on 28th Feb. said that U Kyaw Moe Htun was continuing to be considered as the Myanmar UN Permanent Representative.
In addition the CRPH has stated that the legality of U Kyaw Moe Htun was in no way affected, and that in addition to his present duties he was given the duty of managing the foreign affairs and protocol of Myanmar
In his address at the UN meeting on 26th Feb. U Kyaw Moe Htun conveyed the message from CRPH which represents the NLD government and mentioned six points in his speech.
