According to a statement from the Anti-Narcotics Police Force, narcotic tablets and precursor chemicals valued at more than 9.1 billion kyats, being transported from Kengtung Township, southern Shan State to Kya Li, were seized in Kon Hein Township, located in southern Shan State.

The police report states that on April 30 at 10:00 a.m., near Tarko Village in Kon Hein Township, southern Shan State, two 12-wheeled NISSAN DIESEL trucks—one driven by Kyaw Swar Myint (aka Lin Aung) from Mong Pyin and the other by Sai Panya—were intercepted based on a tip-off.

Upon searching the vehicles, authorities found 1.39 million methamphetamine tablets, precursor chemicals weighing 2.725 tons, and 600 liters of liquid chemical used in narcotic production. The estimated total value exceeds 9.1 billion kyats. Investigations revealed that the seized narcotics were being transported for trade from Kyain Tong Township to Kya Li Township via Kon Hein.

Legal action has been taken against the arrested individuals in accordance with the law, and investigations are ongoing to track down others involved in the trafficking network, the Anti-Narcotics Police Force stated.
