Myanmar citizens facing difficulties in foreign countries due to the Covid-19 pandemic are being taken back by relief flight, and 6,818 have been taken back so far. 

Under the directive of the National-Level Central Committee for Covid-19 Prevention, Control and Treatment, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is cooperating with relevant ministries and Myanmar embassies in respective foreign countries. 

Fifteen Myanmar citizens facing difficulties in the Philippines due to international flight suspensions and 107 Myanmar sailors working for Carnival, Conquest, Dream, and Holland America shipping lines totalling 122 were transported to Myanmar by relief flight on July 5 under the arrangement of the shipping company and Myanmar embassy. 

On July 4 also, 48 Myanmar citizens in India arrived back by relief flight of Air India. 

So far, 6,818 Myanmar have returned through relief flights from foreign countries such as Japan, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Bangladesh, Singapore, the United States, Britain, Indonesia, Malaysia, the UAE, Quarter, Italy, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Germany. 

Yangon International Airport further extended the suspension of international flights till July 31 this year. The suspension started on March 30.
