After a 60-year-old woman returning from India tested positive for Covid-19, the number of confirmed cases in Myanmar has reached 261, the Ministry of Health and Sports reported at 8 am on June 12.
A total of 2,196 samples were tested on June 11—1,305 by the National Health Laboratory (Yangon), 193 by the Department of Medical Research, 358 by the Public Health Laboratory (Mandalay), 192 by the Public Health Laboratory (Mawlamyine) and 148 by No (1) Defence Services Hospital (1,000-bed).
For June 11, 1,297 samples were tested in the first batch and 899 in the second batch totalling 2,196.
Eleven cases were reported in the first batch.
Myanmar has so far seen 261 Covid-19 cases, sixth deaths and 155 recoveries.
