Published 26 May 2026

The Fertility Centre at Central Women’s Hospital (Yangon) is providing fertility treatments, including intrauterine insemination (IUI), for couples seeking to have children.

The centre, which opened in 2022, has treated more than 5,400 patients so far. Services include IVF, IUI, and ovulation stimulation treatments, provided by specialist doctors on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

According to the hospital, IUI treatment success rates have steadily improved. In 2025, 21 patients successfully conceived through the procedure. In May 2026, doctors also successfully delivered twin boys and another baby boy from IUI pregnancies.

The hospital said fertility services are continuing to expand, with several couples currently undergoing IVF treatment.
