NCA signatories arrive in Nay Pyi Taw to attend the NCA 8th anniversary ceremony

The NCA signatories arrived in Nay Pyi Taw on October 13 to attend the 8th anniversary of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA), sources said.

The 8th anniversary of the NCA will be held on October 15 at MICC-2 in Nay Pyi Taw and the ethnic armed groups that have signed the NCA and the ethnic armed groups that have not yet signed the NCA have been invited to the ceremony.

Karen ethnic leader Saw Mutu Say Po, Chairman of the Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS) General Yawd Serk, Lahu Democratic Union (LDU) Chairman Kyar Solomon, U Khun Oakka, U Khaing Soe Naing, U Myo Win and the invited EAO representatives arrived in Nay Pyi Taw by air from Tachilek to attend the ceremony.

The EAO leaders were welcomed by members and officials of the National Unity and Peacemaking Coordination Committee, ethnic people from the Arts Department and departmental staff from the Ministry of Religion and Culture and local people who want peace, holding banners and small national flags at Nay Pyi Taw airport.

In addition, representatives from various ethnic armed organizations have also come to Nay Pyi Taw from various regions and states to attend the NCA anniversary ceremony.
