Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn said that Nay Pyi Taw will held very first walking Thingyan this year.

He said these words at a preliminary meeting for holding walking Thingyan for the people living in Nay Pyi Taw to celebrate 2023 Myanmar Traditional Thingyan Festival.

He said as it will be the very first walking Thingyan in Nay Pyi Taw, preserving of Myanmar’s traditional cultural atmosphere is very important. In doing so, collaborative efforts for systematically managing the festival under all aspects are needed. Cooperation is required for the happily participation of government staff in Nay Pyi Taw, their families and local people, he added.

Afterwards, deputy minister for Information U Ye Tint, Nay Pyi Taw Council member Col. Min Naung, deputy mayor U Maung Maung, permanent secretary U Myo Myint Maung and officials from Brilliant Aura Company discussed the holding of the coming Thingyan festival successfully in Nay Pyi Taw.
